What is Life Strategies Coaching and what it's NOT: Many life coaches choose to specialize in a certain area or niche, but the way in which they work with people is generally the same. - A Life Strategies coach provides a safe and encouraging space for their clients to define how they would like to improve their life, creating goals that are positive, forward thinking and inspiring. – A Life Strategies coach assists their clients to break down those life affirming goals into manageable steps to transition from where they are now, to where they want to be. – A Life Strategies coach honors the present position their client is in but also looks to the future, supporting people to explore their desires, feelings and what they want their life to feel and be like in a lasting way. – A Life Strategies coach deeply listens to people and asks challenging and thought provoking questions so their clients can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their life. – A Life Strategies coach provides accountability and lovingly challenges their clients to step outside their comfort zone or shift their perspective.
We’re all human. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about increasing confidence and empowerment to be the best version of ourselves we can be. What Life Coaching Is Not – Life Strategies Coaching is not counselling. It doesn't take the place of therapy, when the client needs to address and heal deep trauma, or has any significant current mental, emotional or psychological issues that require therapeutic intervention. – Life Strategies Coaching is not mentoring or consulting. It's not about advice giving or "fixing' the client. It’s about empowering clients to create their own pathways and meanings and for the coach to act as a facilitator, guide, encourager and mirror. Health Coaching focuses on coaching specifically related to building a healthier lifestyle. You can think of health coaching as sitting at the intersection of health information and behavior change. Health coaches have a working knowledge of diet, lifestyle, and nutrition. They understand how these contributors to health affect the body, which helps them understand and empathize with clients’ health challenges. Coaches also have the tools and skills to help clients build new habits and make lasting changes. This is what makes health coaches unique in the healthcare industry--they are not just a source of information but a catalyst for transformation. Heath is not a one size fits all and it is important to find what works for you as an individual. It's important to finds ways to achieve your health goals while enjoying the process so you'll stick with the new healthy habits.
Performance Coaching is for people who are driven to achieve results. More often than not this is in the area of sports/athletics (but is certainly not limited to this area). I use a variety of methods to help you develop your skills, such as breathwork training, guided imagery/visualization/NLP, etc. This results in major improvements in your specific performance abilities.
Functional Breathing/Breathwork: Breath is life. It's where everything else starts. It affects everything that we do, and just because you've been breathing all of your life, it doesn't mean you've been doing it correctly in the most efficient and effective way possible.
