Marty has been building relationships and helping people grow for most of his life. He is a former Stress Management Counselor and Life Coach for Duke University Health System’s cardiac rehab and wellness program. He has an MSN degree with a specialization in Education, and is board certified in psychiatric/mental health nursing. He is also a certified Health Coach (through the National Society of Health Coaches-the only program certifying licensed clinicians and practitioners exclusively), a certified NLP practitioner, and is a graduate of the Tony Robbins strategic interventionist life coaching program. He is a former Neuromuscular and Sports Massage Therapist and owned an integrated wellness clinic for many years. Marty is a veteran of the US Army and served with the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment as a Radio Teletype operator, and later as a Combat Medic. Marty’s biggest passions are real estate investing and Martial Arts. He has trained Martial Arts for over thirty years and holds a black belt in Karate and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). In 2019 he won the Masters-6 World BJJ championship for his division. He lives in Durham, NC with his wife, Laurie, and two kids, Christian and Anna (and dog, Bambi).
Marty works with people from all walks of life but is especially fond of working with real estate professionals, people in the recovery space, and health/wellness/medical personnel.
