Personal Self Defense training (one on one and small groups). I have been doing martial arts for over 30 years. During that time I have studied various arts including Shorin Ryu Karate, TKD, Kenpo Karate, Progressive Fighting System/Contemporary Jeet Kune Do (PFS) (instructor), Fear Adrenal Stress Response (FAST Defense-Certified instructor), submission grappling, and Gracie Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). I have black belts in Kenpo Karate and Gracie/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Although not focused on competition, in 2019 competed at the Masters World Championships in Las Vegas and won a gold medal. My approach to self defense is to focus on simple practical techniques, strategies, and concepts. You need to learn and practice elements that will save you in a serious attack. Keeping things simple, and using repetition, one can build real and effective self defense/personal protection skills. With this comes a new found confidence.
