Breakthrough Experience - Men’s Empowerment Experience Intro: This is a very unique and absolutely empowering experience for men that will absolutely change your life! It is a 7–8-hour one day program. (or 2 Saturdays for 4 hours each)
Men have a lot of demands on them these days. Being successful at work and providing a living, being a great father, and a great husband, etc. All at a time in history when it’s hard to know just how to be as a man. Is masculinity toxic? Should we be softer? Should we be strong/stoic and not show emotions?
Men have certain human needs, and I believe every man needs 1) adventure, 2) connection, 3) challenge, and 4) a sense of purpose. We need a sense of adventure to keep life interesting, exciting, and fun. We need connection, especially to other men. We need to be able to let our guard down and be vulnerable in a safe encouraging space. We need a sense of purpose to give life real meaning. And We need challenges to stretch us and to get us out of our comfort zone. Out of our comfort zone is where real growth happens, and the way to foster this is through intentionally putting ourselves in uncomfortable situations (Ice ice baths). In this training/experience we will cultivate strength and resilience but also vulnerability. We will reconnect and reclaim our primal power with other like-minded men. We will push ourselves (and each other) through challenges and into empowerment! The experience consists of several components. 1) A silent group contemplative hike (with debrief) (there’s something very profound about hiking in a group but being silent. It’s very different from being in a group and talking or walking solo silently. There’s a certain energy about it. We will be contemplating a spiritual question as we do the hike). 2) Breathing/Breathwork session We will explore a few different types of breathwork, slowing down our nervous system, as well as one to create energy. Experience a unique type of breathing that has profound effects on your immune system, inflammation, biochemistry, lung capacity etc) 3) Basic self-defense principles and exercises: Very basic self-defense concepts and exercises. Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience in this area. It will be fun and you won’t get beat up 😊 4) Communication: We will explore some principles of healthy communication and how we can be better communicators with loved ones and friends. 5) Intentional cold exposure (Ice bath or cold river/lake), etc. This is very intimidating for most people. Just let me reassure you that you can do this. You will be ready and be guided through the experience. There’s nothing like overcoming your fear and doing this experience! This training/experience is perfect for civic groups, church groups, fraternities, corporate events/team building, etc. It can be tailored to your specific needs.
